"I was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC, in a music-loving family. My first cousin, Doug Gray, is the lead singer of the Marshall Tucker Band. My second cousin, Clay Cook, as co-written hit songs with John Mayer. It is incredible to be successful at something you truly love, and they both are.
I started playing drums and percussion at age 12 and never stopped. I was the drum captain of the Spartanburg High School marching band. I took private lessons from Paul T. Riddle, original drummer for the Marshall Tucker Band, for over ten years. Over the years Paul and I have become really good friends. About 9 years ago, I began substituting for Paul. Thanks to that opportunity, I now have experience with all ages and styles. I truly am a music lover, and I am passionate about playing and teaching.
I have over 15 years playing and 9 years teaching experience. I have played shows all over the Southeast, and I have both live and studio experience."
